MMEA Association Hosted Its First Foundation Meeting Followed By Cocktails & Dinner
To be a more prompt and firm association, MMEA (Mint Manufacturers & Exporters Association) hosted its first foundation meeting on 27th February. The meeting was moderated by the renowned industrialist Norex CEO & Managing Director “Vaibhav Agarwal”. This is the first time that the founders of the MMEA Association are associated with its registered members. The meeting was attended by eminent industrialists of the mint trade industry.
The main motive behind holding this meeting is to form a stronger foundation of MMEA, that’s why instead of just having a formal meeting, the organizer decided to keep the presence of cocktails & dinner to make it a “Mindful Business Meeting”. This allows the industrialists to be more open to sharing their ideas and innovations. Ultimately, people enjoy an exuberant and supportive environment. This physical union brings a sense of unity and filled the heart with positivity as the main motto behind the creation of this association is to work towards welfare and development of Natural Menthol trade and will liaison with different departments of Government to fight against the obstacles in the mint industry.
During the meeting, the industrialists talked about various aspects of the mint trade industry and the objectives of the association. Everyone shares their opinion about the same and has positive discussions which will further shape the working of the association. The first and foremost objective of MMEA is to diminish synthetic menthol trade over natural menthol. Genuinely, it’s a matter of concern as it can affect the health of people. As an outcome of the meeting, there will be various steps taken by the industrialist to stop the synthetic menthol trade completely. Apart from this, this association also works with the government to raise the duty on synthetic menthol in India, increase incentives on menthol, set quality standards for mint and menthol products, contend with the GST and tax department on several issues related to the menthol industry, work on field level sustainable mint farming to improve productivity, fight on Mandi tax, and stop speculation and prevent unethical trade practice prevalent in the menthol industry. After this everyone had cocktails and dinner and met each other to build strong connectivity.
As the MMEA Association is attracting the attention of the mint trade industrialist to the main concern, more and more people are finding this association genuine and credible and are expressing their desire to be a part of this foundation. Therefore, MMEA Association got a great response from the mint trade industry as 22 companies of mint trade have come forward and formed the registered association. Overall, people enjoyed the event and found it positive and empowering.
